Degrees of Attention

A terrible picture (heavily cropped, poor quality glass and a reach too far for the lens) as far as quality goes but I enjoy all of the possible stories that could go with it. The depth of the field, if this is the correct expression, between the characters was about 50 feet and I had to have been about 300 feet away … but I noticed. What originally drew my attention were the 2 herons. They appeared to be squaring off with each other over territory and they would strut back and forth past each other.
